AdvantEdge Congratulates Bill Gilbert, VP of Marketing, on his Retirement

After nine years with AdvantEdge, Vice President of Marketing, Bill Gilbert will be retiring this fall.  While we originally announced this in a communication from David in early April, it is now official and Bill’s last day with the company is rapidly approaching.  As most of you know, Michael Krivich joined the company late this summer and will be stepping into the big shoes Bill has left us to fill.

During Bill’s time with AdvantEdge, he has effectively managed all aspects of marketing and product management and has helped AdvantEdge excel in several areas, leveraging his knowledge and experience building high-tech organizations and expanding customer focus.

Bill joined the AdvantEdge team in 2007, following a long career in business development and management. Previously, Bill served as Vice President, Business Development for Vibrant Solutions, a provider of Business Intelligence analytics. Prior to that, he was a Partner at the Venture Consulting Group, a management consultancy helping early stage high-tech companies grow. Earlier, Bill worked for AT&T, leading customer focused start-up initiatives, product development, and product management for business customers in the US and internationally.

Following his retirement, Bill and his wife, Kathy, look forward to traveling, spending more time with family, and maybe even taking on occasional consulting projects.

For his first post-retirement adventure, Bill will soon travel south for an auto racing event that also fulfills at least one of his bucket list items, racing at the Virginia International Raceway in Alton, Virginia.

Bill and Kathy are “foodies” and look forward to wining and dining as part of their journey and especially look forward to having a meal at the Chef and the Farmer Restaurant in Kinston, NC made famous on the PBS television series, “A Chef’s Life.” Bill and Kathy also plan to visit Black Dog Salvage in Roanoke and visit family in North Carolina.

Please join us in congratulating Bill on his retirement – Bill, your years of service to AdvantEdge are sincerely appreciated and your achievements will be remembered for years to come!

Congratulations, Bill – Enjoy retirement!
